A special bridge
This is a very special place.
I know, it’s a bridge. And bridges aren’t’ supposed to have anything in common with jewels and forests. Or maybe they do.
Luxembourg city is marked by 3 beautiful bridges, this is one of them, known as La passerelle. The view from here is amazing and span on the valley of Petrusse river.
I love bridges, I found them fascinating, technically beautiful and extremely useful. They connect places and mark landscapes in a unique way: helping connection among people and communities kept apart from a river, a valley or some practical barrier. To me bridges represent an incredible metaphor of hope, and this is not different from the feeling I have for our jewels. A bridge between the symbolic gift of a tree and a precious token you can wear daily.
But coming back to this specific bridge. I was walking here and chatting with Emanuela a bit more than a year ago. Weather was colder, morale was really low after a difficult period. And the bridge did it’s “thing”. Connect, show opportunities from a different point of view, provide hope and energies for a new idea.
This is the exact place where Il bosco di Egam is born.
